Chiropractic for Small Animals

Meet Petra Sullwold

Petra Sullwold Hi,
My name is Dr. Petra Sullwold, Chiropractor and I am thrilled to be part of the River Studio Collective. I am certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association as an Animal Chiropractor. I love working with all types of animals in the Four Corners: Horses, Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Goats - you name it. I am an avid rider and enjoy training my adopted wild mustangs. I own a total of 40 well adjusted animals, which includes my potbelly pig Nana, my dogs, cats, horses and yes even my chickens.

On the human spectrum I have worked with top athletes, pregnant women, riders, farmers, young and old…pretty much anyone you can imagine. In addition to my traditional chiropractic training, I also completed my postdoctoral certification in Upper Cervical Specific Care through the Knee Chest Society and courses in the Webster Technique for breech presentation babies through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

I enjoy drawing upon my vast background to serve my clientele, be they two-legged or four, in maintaining their highest level of health and performance possible.Looking forward to meeting you!

Dr. Petra Sullwold DC, CAC: Mondays from 11-4 and Friday mornings from 9-12 by appointment.

Never Heard of Animal Chiropractic?

Animal Chiropractic is becoming more and more popular around the world. Chiropractic care for you dog and cat can greatly enhance their performance, longevity, and attitude. Chiropractic adjustments over the course of your animals life will help them to live a healthier happier life. Animals that get adjusted throughout their lives do not have many of the problems that comes with aging in their non-chiropractic counterparts.

Although there are things to look for in your dog to see if they should be examined it is better to have your dog adjusted occasionally to ensure that they are as healthy as they can be. Many conditions occur in animals because owners wait until they see a problem before they do anything. However, most conditions have been developing in the animal for a while and are not symptomatic enough for the owner to pick up on.

A qualified and trained certified animal Chiropractor should be consulted to see if there is underlying neurological or bio-mechanical concern with your small animal. To ensure the safety of your animal be sure that the chiropractor working on your animal is a Certified Animal Chiropractor (CAC) and has been certified by a qualified organization.
